Warriors Heavyweight Football team won the Junior Football League of
Northern Illinois (JFLNI) Championship. Mike Girolamo presented the McHenry
Township Board the four trophies won by the McHenry Township

McHenry Township Junior Warriors
(MTJW) is a supervised program of football for the youth of
McHenry Township and is a member of the Junior Football League of
Northern Illinois. The MTJW has been a part of McHenry County
since 1965 and previously known as the Hornets.
Jr. Warriors has 17 traveling teams with 5 levels of play on both Saturday and Sunday offered for children 7-14 years of age still in 8th grade. Our goal is to teach each player the fundamentals of football, safety, sportsmanship, character, and teamwork.
